Proxify charges one all-in hourly rate per developer, reported at $35 to $55 an hour in 2026. Full time, that is about $5,600 to $8,800 a month, with a minimum of 40 billed hours a month. It is one of the cheaper vetted networks, and most of its developers work European hours.
Below, the band becomes a monthly and yearly budget, the 40-hour floor gets priced, and we show how much working-day overlap a US team actually gets.

The minimum, the trial and the contract-to-hire option come from Proxify's own pricing and help pages. Hourly bands are what reviewers and clients report. The US payroll figure is BLS. Where Proxify is the better buy, we say so.
What one seat costs
Proxify quotes a single number per developer that already covers vetting, matching, payroll, compliance and invoicing. There is no recruitment fee and no separate platform fee. Its own calculator asks for headcount, weekly hours and your location, and 2026 reviews land on the band below.

Read before you sign
Proxify bills at least 40 working hours a month per developer. That is about ten hours a week, a low floor next to Lemon.io's reported 160-hour minimum, and it makes Proxify usable for part-time maintenance work.
Each engagement opens with a risk-free trial, described in reviews as about a week, where you pay only if you are happy with the developer. Notice periods are written into the agreement and set case by case. Ask for the number in writing, because a month of notice at full time is a $5,600 to $8,800 decision.
One developer at $45 an hour, by hours used
| Network | Monthly minimum | Floor at reported rates | Trial |
|---|---|---|---|
| Proxify | 40 hrs | $1,400 to $2,200 | About a week, pay if satisfied |
| Lemon.io | 160 hrs, reported | $7,200 and up | Prepaid week or month |
| Toptal | None | $500 deposit + $79/mo, reported | Up to 2 weeks |
| Andela | None, 30 days notice | Negotiated monthly rate | 15 business days, paid |
The cost that is not on the invoice
Proxify reports a network of more than 6,000 vetted developers across 35 or so countries, weighted toward Europe. A developer in Berlin or Warsaw working 9 to 5 local time is online from 3 a.m. to 11 a.m. in New York and from midnight to 8 a.m. in San Francisco.
That leaves about two shared hours a day with an East Coast team and none with a West Coast one. Plenty of developers shift their day for US clients, so ask for overlap hours on the quote. If you need a developer in your own standups and pairing sessions, the low rate only helps if those hours are agreed up front.

The question finance will ask
| Proxify rate | Per year, 1,920 hrs | Against $194,451 loaded US hire |
|---|---|---|
| $35/hr | $67,200 | 0.35x |
| $45/hr | $86,400 | 0.44x |
| $55/hr | $105,600 | 0.54x |
| $65/hr | $124,800 | 0.64x |
The BLS May 2025 median for US software developers is $135,980. With benefits and payroll taxes at the BLS employer-cost ratio of 1.43, the company pays $194,451 a year, or $93.49 an hour. Every point of the Proxify band sits well below that, which is the honest headline: Proxify is cheap for vetted talent.

Honest math
Proxify does not itemize its margin, so we cannot tell you how much of a $45 rate reaches the developer. What we can show is the gap a direct hire needs to close. On our Business plan you pay $349 a month for the post and pay the developer directly, with no project fee.
Full time, a developer you hire directly needs to cost only $2.18 an hour less than the Proxify rate for the flat plan to come out ahead. At the 40-hour floor the gap is $8.73 an hour, so for light part-time work Proxify is usually the cheaper and simpler route.
| Hours a month | $349 spread per hour | Direct rate needed vs $45 Proxify | Who usually wins |
|---|---|---|---|
| 40 | $8.73 | under $36.27 | Proxify |
| 80 | $4.36 | under $40.64 | Close call |
| 120 | $2.91 | under $42.09 | Direct, if you can screen |
| 160 | $2.18 | under $42.82 | Direct, if you can screen |
A direct hire also means you pick the time zone. A developer in the Americas gives a US team a full shared day. Fair rates by stack are in freelance developer rates for 2026, and you can see who is available in freelance web developers.

| Andela | $35 to $100+ | Paid trial, 30 days notice | $50,000 in year one | Long seats, global talent |
| Lemon.io | $45 to $80 typical | Prepaid week or month | $20,000 | Startup bursts |
| Toptal | $60 to $150+ | $500 deposit + $79/mo | Fee on request | One senior freelancer fast |
| SuperGig Business | Agreed with the developer | $349/mo for the post | $0 | 1 to 2 developers you keep |
Against Andela
Similar low end, a lower ceiling and a far smaller minimum. Andela pricing sets its $50,000 conversion fee against a recruiter fee.
Against Lemon.io
Both Europe-heavy. Proxify's floor is a quarter of the reported Lemon.io minimum. See Lemon.io pricing for prepayment terms.
Against Toptal
Toptal costs more per hour and has no minimum. The Toptal pricing breakdown reconstructs its markup.

Questions
Proxify bills one all-in hourly rate per developer. 2026 reviews report $35 to $55 an hour for most roles, with some quotes up to about $65 for senior specialists. Full time at 160 hours a month, one developer costs roughly $5,600 to $8,800 a month, or $67,200 to $105,600 a year.
Most reported Proxify rates sit between $35 and $55 an hour, depending on seniority and stack. Older quotes ran $40 to $65, and some regional Proxify pages list euro prices. The rate already includes vetting, matching, payroll and invoicing, so there is no separate platform fee on top.
Yes. Proxify sets a minimum of 40 working hours per month per developer. At reported rates that is a floor of about $1,400 to $2,200 a month. Notice periods are written into each agreement and, according to Proxify, are agreed case by case rather than fixed.
Proxify describes a risk-free trial at the start of each engagement in which you pay only if you are satisfied with the developer. Reviews describe it as about one week. After the trial, normal billing and the 40-hour monthly minimum apply.
Yes, by a wide margin. A full-time Proxify developer at $45 an hour costs about $86,400 a year, 0.44x the $194,451 a US median software developer costs with benefits and payroll taxes. Even at $65 an hour it is 0.64x. The trade-off is time zone overlap, since most of the network is in Europe.
Proxify offers a contract-to-hire option for moving a developer onto your own team. It does not publish the fee. For context, Andela has listed $50,000 in year one, Lemon.io $20,000 and Arc.dev about 25% of salary, so get the Proxify figure in writing before you sign.
Post the role once and get a shortlist of three vetted developers, in the time zone you choose. Agree the rate and pay them directly. $349 a month for the post, no project fee and no fee if you later hire them.
Business is $349 per month, or $174 per month billed yearly (50% off), for a project post on the SuperGig project board, with no project fee.
