Privacy Policy
Effective July 5, 2026
This policy explains what SuperGig collects when you use supergig.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past. If anything is unclear, email app@supergig.com and a person will answer.
"SuperGig", "we" and "us" mean SuperGig, the operator of supergig.com. "You" means anyone visiting the site or creating an account.
What we collect
We collect only what the service needs to work and to be measured:
- Signup details. The email address you submit when you sign up, and the role interest you optionally select (for example, that you want to hire a developer).
- Technical data. Your IP address and browser user agent, recorded when you submit the signup form and in standard server logs.
- Marketing attribution. UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign) attached to the link you arrived through, so we know which channel brought you here.
- Usage analytics. Anonymized interaction data (pages viewed, clicks, scrolling) collected through Microsoft Clarity, described under Cookies and analytics below.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, payment card numbers, government IDs or any sensitive personal data through the signup form.
Why we collect it
- To create your account and confirm your email address with a verification code.
- To email you about your account and about service updates that affect you, such as changes to escrow, fees or these policies.
- To measure marketing: UTM data and analytics tell us which pages and channels work, so we spend attention on the ones that do.
- To keep the service secure: IP addresses and user agents help us detect abuse, spam signups and automated traffic.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that has legal effects on you, and we do not build advertising profiles of you.
Legal bases
Where data-protection law (such as the GDPR) applies, we rely on:
- Performance of a contract for creating and administering your account and sending account emails.
- Legitimate interests for security logging, abuse prevention and measuring how our marketing performs, balanced against your rights.
- Consent for optional analytics cookies, which you can withdraw at any time through your browser settings.
How long we keep it
- Account data (email, role interest) is kept while your account exists and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
- Signup records with IP, user agent and UTM data are kept for up to 24 months for security and attribution, then deleted or anonymized.
- Server logs rotate automatically and are kept for up to 90 days.
- Analytics data is retained by Microsoft Clarity under its own schedule, in anonymized form.
Who processes your data
We do not sell your personal data. Ever. We share it only with the small set of processors that run the service on our behalf, under contracts that limit what they may do with it:
- Email delivery provider, to send your confirmation code and account emails.
- Hosting provider, which stores the database and serves the site.
- Microsoft Clarity, which provides the usage analytics described below.
Beyond these processors, we disclose personal data only if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of SuperGig and its users.
Cookies and analytics
We use two kinds of cookies. Session cookies are strictly necessary: they keep you signed in and protect forms against cross-site request forgery. Analytics cookies are set by Microsoft Clarity to help us understand how the site is used, through heatmaps and anonymized session replays. Clarity masks text you type by default. You can block analytics cookies in your browser without breaking the site.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email app@supergig.com from the address on your account and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Exercising any of these rights never changes the price or quality of the service.
Children
SuperGig is a business service for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the effective date at the top and, for significant changes, email account holders before the change takes effect. Continued use of the site after the effective date means the updated policy applies.
