Maya K.
Senior Full-Stack Developer
BairesDev pricing is hourly and quoted per engagement. Its Clutch profile lists $50 to $99 an hour with a $50,000 minimum project, and clients report $80 to $180 for senior and specialist engineers. One full-time engineer costs about $8,000 to $28,800 a month.
BairesDev publishes no rate card, so the numbers below are reconstructed from its public listings and client reports, then turned into monthly, team and full-time costs you can put in a budget.

The $50 to $99 band and the $50,000 minimum are BairesDev's own Clutch listing. Seniority bands come from client reports collected by reviewers. The US employee figure is BLS. Where BairesDev is the better buy, we say so.
The rate card BairesDev does not print
BairesDev says price depends on stack, team size, complexity and scope, and it quotes after a discovery call. In practice the bands cluster tightly. Reviewers place BairesDev at the top of the Latin American market, often well above leaner nearshore shops for the same seniority.

Pods, not people
BairesDev sells three engagement models. Staff augmentation adds engineers to your team under your management. Dedicated teams are pods with a BairesDev project manager driving delivery. Software outsourcing hands over a whole scoped build. The bill grows by seat, and in the two managed models the PM and QA seats are seats too.
The table assumes 160 billable hours per engineer a month, the figure reviewers use. Add any PM or QA seat at its own rate.
| Rate | 1 engineer | 3 engineers | 5 engineers | Per year, 3 engineers |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $50/hr | $8,000 | $24,000 | $40,000 | $288,000 |
| $80/hr | $12,800 | $38,400 | $64,000 | $460,800 |
| $99/hr | $15,840 | $47,520 | $79,200 | $570,240 |
| $130/hr | $20,800 | $62,400 | $104,000 | $748,800 |
Staff augmentation
You manage the engineers. Cheapest of the three, because no BairesDev PM seat is billed.
Dedicated team
A pod run by a BairesDev PM. You pay for the team plus delivery management.
Outsourcing
A scoped build priced as a project. Change requests reopen the quote.
Before the first commit
A $50,000 floor reads like a big-company number until you divide it by one engineer. It buys a few months of a single developer, so it rules out most one-person MVPs and short fixes. Competing vendors also report a sales process of two to six weeks before rates and interviews, which is time your roadmap is not moving.
$50,000 in months of one engineer
Hours covered: 1,000 at $50, 625 at $80, 505 at $99, 385 at $130, 278 at $180.
The question finance will ask
A US software developer at the BLS May 2025 median earns $135,980. With benefits and payroll taxes at the BLS employer-cost ratio of 1.43, the company pays $194,451 a year. Put a BairesDev engineer on 1,920 billable hours and compare.
Mid-level BairesDev talent is clearly cheaper than a US hire. At the top of the Clutch band the two are level, and senior or specialist rates cost more than an employee would. The nearshore discount is real, but it lives in the mid-level band.
| BairesDev rate | Per year, 1,920 hrs | Against $194,451 loaded US hire |
|---|---|---|
| $50/hr | $96,000 | 0.49x |
| $80/hr | $153,600 | 0.79x |
| $99/hr | $190,080 | 0.98x |
| $130/hr | $249,600 | 1.28x |
| $180/hr | $345,600 | 1.78x |
Break-even rate
about $101/hr
$194,451 divided by 1,920 hours. Above it, a full-time contractor costs more than a US employee.

Questions
BairesDev does not publish a rate card. Its Clutch profile lists $50 to $99 an hour, and client reports put mid-level engineers at about $50 to $80, senior engineers at $80 to $130 and specialists or leads at $100 to $180. At 160 billable hours a month, one engineer costs roughly $8,000 to $28,800.
BairesDev lists a minimum project size of $50,000 on Clutch. That is about 3.9 months of one full-time engineer at $80 an hour, or 6.25 months at $50. A two-month MVP built by one developer usually falls below it, so BairesDev fits multi-engineer or multi-quarter work better.
A three-engineer pod at $80 an hour runs about $38,400 a month at 160 hours each, and five engineers about $64,000, before any project manager or QA seat is added. At the top of the Clutch band, $99 an hour, three engineers cost about $47,520 a month.
At mid-level rates, yes. A full-time BairesDev engineer at $80 an hour costs about $153,600 a year, 0.79x the $194,451 cost of a US median software developer with benefits and payroll taxes. Senior and specialist rates of $130 to $180 cost 1.28x to 1.78x that employee.
BairesDev does not advertise a free trial or a published guarantee period. Competing vendors report a sales process of two to six weeks before you see rates or interview engineers. Ask for replacement terms and the notice period in writing before you sign the statement of work.
BairesDev is worth it when you need a managed team of several engineers in US time zones with delivery management and security paperwork handled for you. For one or two developers on a short build, the $50,000 minimum and a multi-week sales cycle make a direct hire through a flat-fee board cheaper and faster.
Post the project once and get a shortlist of vetted developers. Agree the rate, pay the developer directly and start this week. $349 a month for the post, no project fee and no minimum engagement.
Business is $349 per month, or $174 per month billed yearly (50% off), for a project post on the SuperGig project board, with no project fee.
