Maya K.
Senior Full-Stack Developer
Flocksy pricing runs from $1,199 to $5,899 a month for 42 to 168 creative hours, depending on plan size and billing term. At full use that is $22.61 to $40.45 per hour, cheaper than most US freelance designers.
The catch is the word "full". Unused hours expire after 30 days, so the real price depends on how much of the block your team can brief. Below about 22 hours of real work a month, a freelancer paid by the hour costs less. Above it, Flocksy is hard to beat on price.

$349/mo, or $174/mo billed yearly. Freelancers apply to your post and you pick who to hire.
Plan prices come from Flocksy's own pricing and facts pages as of September 2026. Wages come from the BLS May 2025 release. The Design Pickle figure is a reported price, because Design Pickle no longer publishes one. Where Flocksy is the better buy, we say so.
The published plans
Flocksy does not sell requests or seats. It sells a daily block of creative time, from two to eight hours a working day, and multiplies it by roughly 21 working days. Every minute is tracked in the client portal, so you can see exactly where the hours went. The three prices on each row are the same plan billed monthly, quarterly and annually.
| Plan | Hours a month | Monthly billing | Quarterly | Annual | Annual saving a year |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 Daily Hours | 42 | $1,699 | $1,399 | $1,199 | $6,000 |
| 3 Daily Hours | 63 | $2,399 | $1,899 | $1,699 | $8,400 |
| 4 Daily Hours | 84 | $3,099 | $2,399 | $2,199 | $10,800 |
| 5 Daily Hours | 105 | $3,799 | $2,899 | $2,599 | $14,400 |
| 6 Daily Hours | 126 | $4,499 | $3,399 | $2,999 | $18,000 |
| 7 Daily Hours | 147 | $5,199 | $3,899 | $3,399 | $21,600 |
| 8 Daily Hours | 168 | $5,899 | $4,399 | $3,799 | $25,200 |

One detail most reviews miss: the annual discount grows with the plan. It is 29.4% off the monthly price on 2 Daily Hours and 35.6% on 8 Daily Hours. Flocksy is steering bigger buyers into the longest commitment, which is where the lowest per-hour price in the table sits.
Per creative hour
Divide each plan by its hours and Flocksy looks cheap. The 2 Daily Hours plan works out to $40.45 an hour billed monthly and $28.55 billed annually. The 8 Daily Hours plan is $35.11 and $22.61. Every one of those is below the $45 to $85 an hour most US freelance designers charge.
Now assume your team briefs 60% of the block, which is common in the first months while you learn what to send. The same plans cost $67.42 and $47.58 per hour actually used on 2 Daily Hours. The subscription did not get more expensive. Your utilization did the work.
Price per hour used, 2 Daily Hours plan
Hours per month = daily hours x 21 working days, as Flocksy states. Freelance rate is a mid-range US figure; the plan fee is not included here and is added in the crossover table below.
The 30 day clock
The rollover is more generous than a queue subscription, where an idle day is simply lost. It still caps how lumpy your demand can be. Hours bought in March can cover an April launch, not a June one.
The crossover
The fair test is total monthly cost for the hours of real work you need. On our side that is a $349 flat plan plus the freelancer's hourly rate, paid to them directly, with no project fee. The table shows how many freelance hours the same money buys as each Flocksy plan. If your real monthly need is below that number, the freelancer is cheaper. Above it, Flocksy is.
| Flocksy plan and term | Price a month | Break-even at $45/hr | At $60/hr | At $85/hr |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 Daily Hours, monthly | $1,699 | 30.0 hrs | 22.5 hrs | 15.9 hrs |
| 2 Daily Hours, quarterly | $1,399 | 23.3 hrs | 17.5 hrs | 12.4 hrs |
| 2 Daily Hours, annual | $1,199 | 18.9 hrs | 14.2 hrs | 10.0 hrs |
| 4 Daily Hours, monthly | $3,099 | 61.1 hrs | 45.8 hrs | 32.4 hrs |
$949
10 hours of a $60 designer plus the $349 plan. A quiet month of a few ad sets and a one-pager, $750 under Flocksy monthly.
$1,549
20 hours at $60 plus the plan. Still $150 under 2 Daily Hours monthly, but $350 over the annual price.
$2,869
All 42 hours at $60 plus the plan. Flocksy monthly is $1,170 cheaper here. At full use, the subscription wins.
Against a salary
The BLS put the May 2025 median wage for US graphic designers at $62,960. Loaded at 1.43 for benefits and payroll taxes, the ratio in the BLS employer cost data for private industry, that is $90,032.80 a year or $7,502.73 a month for 173.33 paid hours.
The 8 Daily Hours plan buys 168 hours, 96.9% of a full-time designer's paid hours, for 50.6% of the loaded median on annual billing and 78.6% on monthly. That is a strong number and we will not pretend otherwise. What it does not buy is someone who sits in your meetings and learns the product.
| Flocksy plan | Hours | Monthly billing | Annual billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 Daily Hours | 42 | 22.6% of a designer | 16.0% |
| 4 Daily Hours | 84 | 41.3% | 29.3% |
| 6 Daily Hours | 126 | 60.0% | 40.0% |
| 8 Daily Hours | 168 | 78.6% | 50.6% |
Base: $7,502.73 a month, the BLS May 2025 median graphic designer wage of $62,960 loaded at 1.43.

| Option | Entry price | How you buy | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flocksy | $1,199 to $1,699/mo | Daily hours, tracked, 30 day rollover | Steady multi-format production |
| Design Pickle | ~$2,098/mo reported | Daily creative hours, no public price | Teams already sold on hour blocks |
| Penji | $995/mo | Queue of active workstreams, no hour count | Simple graphics at steady volume |
| Superside | $16,000/mo, 12 months | Committed budget plus software fee | Mid-market and enterprise creative |
| Freelance designer, $349 plan | $349/mo plus hours | Hourly, paid directly, no project fee | Specialists and uneven volume |
Against Design Pickle, Flocksy is about 19% cheaper for a similar two hours a day before any annual discount, on Flocksy's published price and Design Pickle's reported one. Against Penji, the models differ: Penji prices a queue rather than hours, so a fair comparison is cost per finished design, which we work through in our Penji review and pricing breakdown.
Questions
Flocksy sells daily creative hours. The smallest plan, 2 Daily Hours, is $1,699 a month billed monthly, $1,399 billed quarterly or $1,199 billed annually. The largest, 8 Daily Hours, is $5,899, $4,399 or $3,799 a month. Each daily hour is roughly 21 working hours a month, so plans cover 42 to 168 hours.
It is worth it if you use most of the hours. At full use Flocksy costs $22.61 to $40.45 per creative hour, below most US freelance designers. At 60% use the 2 Daily Hours monthly plan rises to $67.42 per used hour. Teams with under about 20 hours of real design work a month usually pay less hiring a freelancer by the hour.
Yes, for 30 days. Flocksy says unused hours roll into the next month and then expire. That softens a slow week but not a slow quarter. A team that uses 25 of its 42 hours two months running loses the surplus from the first month once the 30 days pass.
Flocksy does not offer a free trial. Its pricing page states a 14 day money-back guarantee instead, so you pay for the first month and can ask for a refund inside two weeks if the work is not a fit. Plans are cancel anytime with no contract on monthly billing.
For small or uneven volume, a freelance designer is cheaper. The 2 Daily Hours monthly plan at $1,699 buys the same money as 22.5 hours of a $60 an hour freelancer after a $349 flat plan. Below that many hours of real work a month, paying by the hour costs less. Above it, Flocksy usually wins on price.
On the published and reported numbers, yes. Flocksy 2 Daily Hours is $1,699 a month billed monthly. Design Pickle no longer publishes prices, but two creative hours a day is reported at about $2,098 a month, so Flocksy is about 19% cheaper for a similar block of hours before any annual discount.
Every plan covers graphic design, video editing, motion, illustration and copywriting from one team, with unlimited requests, unlimited revisions, unlimited brands and seats, working files and minute-by-minute time tracking. Plans of 4 Daily Hours and up add a production coordinator, and 6 and up add an art director on every brief.
Post the brief you would send a design subscription and see which vetted designers apply. Agree the rate, pay the designer directly and use only the hours you need. $349 a month for the post, no project fee.
Business is $349 per month, or $174 per month billed yearly (50% off), for a project post on the SuperGig project board, with no project fee.
